Bowls England – Development Loans for Clubs

Development Loans are provided by Bowls England, the national governing body for Flat Green Lawn Bowls.

Loans are on offer to help affiliated bowls clubs upgrade their facilities for the benefit of both their members and the sport as a whole. Loans are available to all clubs that have been affiliated to Bowls England for a minimum of three years.

Loans of up to £20,000 are available.

A total of £650,000 is allocated for the scheme.

The loan is to be used for the improvement of the club’s facilities and can cover costs such as:

  • Purchase of lawn mowers, scarifiers, turf irons or sprinkler systems.
  • Repair of ditches and banks.
  • Clubhouse development.
  • Fencing.
  • Car parking.
  • Changing rooms.

This is a rolling programme. Applications are considered on a rolling basis and loans will be issued if there are sufficient funds available.
