Tamworth UK Shared Prosperity Fund – VCSE Grants Scheme 

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) via Tamworth Borough Council (TBC) is keen to support the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in the Tamworth Borough by providing a grants scheme. 

Each proposal is to be led by a VCSE.

All funded activity must take place within the borough of Tamworth.

Organisations previously funded directly from the Tamworth Borough Council UKSPF fund will not be eligible to apply for this grant funding.

Each proposal should benefit one or both of the following criteria as taken from the UKSPF guidance.

  • Impactful volunteering and/or social action projects to develop social and human capital in local places.
  • Investment in capacity building and infrastructure support for local civil society and community groups.


This funding round is to assist in supporting the core costs of maintaining a groups activities and running costs. This funding will help current and emerging activities at a time when costs are rising.

This grant can be used for the following:  

  • Room/venue Hire
  • Utility Costs
  • Equipment costs
  • Insurance
  • Refreshments
  • Volunteer expenses
  • Sessional worker costs
  • One-off events
  • Training costs
  • Small land and refurbishments projects


Applications will be invited from £1,000 to £5,000. 

IMPORTANT – ALL MONIES MUST BE SPENT BY THE SUCCESSFUL RECIPIENT BY 31 MARCH 2025!

APPLICATIONS CAN BE SUBMITTED BETWEEN 20TH SEPTEMBER 2024 UNTIL 22ND NOVEMBER 2024

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY 20TH DECEMBER 2024 AT THE ABSOLUTE LATEST

GRANTS WILL BE AWARDED BY 24TH JANUARY 2025 (subject to financial paperwork and agreement being received by Monday 20TH JANUARY 2025).  EARLY SUBMISSION OF PAPERWORK MAY RESULT IN EARLY PAYMENT.

Grants applicants will also need to supply copies of the following:

  • Governing document (Constitution or Memorandum and Articles of Association)
  • Public liability insurance
  • Safeguarding policy documents

An evaluation form (supplied by Support Staffordshire) and case study highlighting the benefit of the grant must be submitted by 31ST MARCH 2025.  The return of this evaluation document forms part of any successful grant award.
