Grants are available for FA-accredited community football clubs and leagues to improve the experience and accessibility of football to local people.
The funding is intended to enhance grassroots football, providing tailored support based on individual application needs.
Support can be utilised for various purposes, such as clubhouse improvements, volunteer appreciation, crime recovery, facility safety enhancements, and overall game and playing environment improvements.
There is no set grant value. Funding is provided at the discretion of Grassroots Football.
Applications will be accepted from FA-accredited clubs or leagues, connected to individuals or projects involved in grassroots football.
To be eligible, applicants must have a bank account registered to a club or league.
Successful applicants may be required to take part in social media and press promotional activity through teamgrassroots.co.uk, Utilita High 5 and communications partners.
Grants may be used to provide support aligned with each application’s specific needs and objectives, focusing on enhancing grassroots football and the wellbeing of those involved.
Examples of eligible costs and activities include:
- Vouchers for materials to fix up a clubhouse.
- Money to help pay for tradespeople to make improvements to a clubhouse.
- Gifts to show appreciation to volunteers.
- Support to recover from crime or vandalism.
- Funding to help make a facility safe.
- Help to improve a game and playing environment.
Applications may be made at any time. Grassroots Football aims to respond to all applications within 60 days with a decision.
